Ken Smith spent his childhood in Paris and Algiers. Paris, with the colorful shops facing the Champs Elysees and the sparkling Parisian nights, and Algiers, with its landscape against the clear blue sky of the Mediterranean, stretching as far as the eye can see. He still remembers these vivid scenes,
which continue to influence the way in which he uses color in his work. He has loved to draw pictures since he was young, and in the past few years he began creating works, and started posting his works on Instagram.
He used digital illustrations to express a warm world on the theme of Christmas in the group exhibition 『Christmas Festival Exhibition』 in December 2018 (Yokohama, Japan). He also created works on the theme of bright and vibrant colors that make flowers and animals look cute with a gentle impression. Additionally, he joined the group exhibition 『Sweet Pastel × Spice Vivid in Korea Exhibition』 in June 2019 (Busan, Korea).
His often uses animal motifs in his works, and depicts worlds bathed in the warmth of sunlight.
