It was the “can’t be wasteful spirit” that ignited the artist soul of Coffee Yuka.

There was always a coffee near Coffee Yuka, who was born in Hokkaido surrounded by the rich nature of Japan. She loves coffee as much as she loves to paint. (Some people may have guessed that from her name!)

She works in a coffee shop, where she has seen the same shocking scene: Coffees were being thrown away without being finished. There were various reasons behind this, such as mistakes in orders, bad taste, getting old, etc… This view paved the way for her artistry.

She wanted to help coffees that came from distant countries, but were never finished and thrown away.

From that day on, she started using coffee instead of paint. She became more and more attracted to the unique texture and retro expression of coffee.

Currently, she conveys the appeal of coffee to the world by mixing various expressions such as watercolor.

Her works have been rented at Japan’s largest painting rental site and

more and more people are looking for her paintings. She also sells paintings and postcards at a friend’s cafe, where the number of discarded coffee was steadily increasing.

Everything transmitted through her filter is unique and gives you peace in the mind.

She continues to paint today to convey the new possibilities of coffee.
