Haruka Aoyagi
Haruka Aoyagi was born in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan.
She started her artist activities in 2015.
From her first solo exhibition (switch box ake/tate Kanagawa) in 2015,
She has opened yearly solo exhibitions around Tokyo and Yokohama.
She has also exhibited in several group exhibitions.
She mainly uses animals as the motif for her creations.
Her animal artworks are based on the ode for life,
But she uses faint colors to create mystical artworks.
A common image of “life” is the usage of primary colors,
But “life” through her viewfinder can be thought to be very fragile.
Like a distinct characteristic, the animals are carefully drawn with non-geometrical patterns.
This expression, by no means, gives the impression of the non-fragility of “life”.
She prefers using washi (Japanese paper), drawing pens, acrylic and watercolors to create color.
She sometimes incorporates foils too.
