Hiroyuki

Hiroyuki was born in 1962 in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture and currently resides there. He graduated from the Department of Art and Design at Kyoto Seika University, with completion of the Japanese Painting Course.
While enrolled in university, he studied painting methods using mineral pigments and expression methods using foil, which is one of the traditional Japanese cultures. While he was in school, he was selected twice for the Kyoto City Art Exhibition. He was also selected for the Kyoto Prefectural Art Exhibition. Since graduating from university, he has been working as a public junior high school art teacher in Shizuoka. While working, he was selected twice for the painting section of the Iwata City Arts Festival and the Tenryu River Painting Open Call Exhibition. In recent years, he has also exhibited at the Toyohashi Triennale.
He is currently fascinated by the transparent expression of watercolor paintings, and hopes to capture a feeling of the present when drawing landscapes and daily moments of life. He is currently a recommended member of the JIWI Japan International Watercolor Society.
