Mitsuhiro ODAKA
Mitsuhiro ODAKA is a Japanese mixed media artist, with a dual degree in the bachelor of medicine and science (mathematics / informatics).
He received a runners-up award at ASIAGRAPH 2019.
His main exhibitions include a temporary exhibition at the Gallery Binosha Exhibition (Tokyo, 2019) and a permanent exhibition of “Architectonica of Infection” at the University Museum the University of Tokyo (Tokyo, 2020).
He creates 3D computer graphic movies with the main theme of “Infection”. His works visualize the spreading phenomenon of pathogens in a complex network.His methods include the combination of arts and technologies, such as mathematical models, data, generative music, poems and mixed realities.
His works express a psychedelic and mysterious worldview of mathematical art and the solitude of deviant minorities, accompanied with the mentioned phenomenon.In order for the minorities, as well as himself, to imagine and realize their dreams, he hides a subtle symbol of “Hope” in his works.
