Miyuki Asayama

Miyuki Asayama is a Japanese artist born in 1959 and taught herself art in 1995.
Art is an integral part of her life and helps her to live naturally, freely, and instinctively.
For her, it is like a breath of fresh air.
Her life becomes more positive when art is a part of it.
She continues to create artworks that express life. This is because she hopes that life will continue to be born in the future.

In this work, paper and Japanese paper are combined and overlapped.
There are holes in the Japanese paper made with incense sticks and drawings underneath it.

Her recent exhibitions include:
2020 Rokko Meets Art, Kobe
2019 Solo exhibition|A place to begin | Gallery Out of Place, Nara
2018 Solo exhibition|A place to begin | Kaede Gallery, Osaka | Art Spot Korin, Kyoto
2016 Kizugawa Art, Kyoto
