nanan
nanan was born in Kamakura, a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
She grew up in the nature of Kamakura surrounded by the sea and mountains, feeling close to art with easy access to shrines, temples, and museums.
Since she was little, she has loved to express herself through drawing and creation.
After her school days, she worked as an office worker and a flower arrangement instructor.
After the death in 2015 of her younger brother, who had appeared on TV programs and been widely known in the media as a photographer, she decided to pursue her career in art again in 2019.
Exhibited at: “Found Autumn Cats! Vol. 3” (special exhibition in Yokohama, 2019), “Animal World! —Animal Exhibition 2020—” (special exhibition in Yokohama, 2020)
She has been inspired by Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and Marc Chagall and respects their style, which changed according to the times.
She creates artworks inspired by nature and animals. She uses watercolors, pens, pastels, and other drawing materials to draw cats in a freestyle.
She is also active as an iPhone photographer. What she wants to convey through her artworks is the preciousness and love of life.
