Shin-calligraphy was born in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. She was interested in drawing and writing, and started to write when she was 5 years old. When she grew older, she became more and more interested in human emotions. In her thirties, she began to feel trapped by her inability to capture her own emotions and feelings, so she began to free her mind and put her heart into writing what she was comfortable with. Her works are mainly made with ink and paint. She writes calligraphy by focusing on the quality of the paper, and chooses materials that produce sharp, gentle, emotional and worldly views of calligraphy.
