shin-calligraphy

Shin-calligraphy was born in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. She was interested in drawing and writing, and started to write when she was 5 years old. When she grew older, she became more and more interested in human emotions. In her thirties, she began to feel trapped by her inability to capture her own emotions and feelings, so she began to free her mind and put her heart into writing what she was comfortable with. Her works are mainly made with ink and paint. She writes calligraphy by focusing on the quality of the paper, and chooses materials that produce sharp, gentle, emotional and worldly views of calligraphy.

2017: Participated and held a two-person exhibition with a photographer

2018: Participated in a two-person exhibition in Tokushima, Japan

2019: Participated in a two-person exhibition in Tokushima, Japan

2019: Participated in a two-person exhibition in Tokushima, Japan (Her calligraphy and photography skills were used on the model’s bodies. She expressed human emotions on their bodies.)

In addition to her own work, she also collaborates with traditional Kyoto and overseas craft designs for domestic workshops, and designs watermark tattoos. She tries her best to express the things that appeal to her emotions in her work.

  1. It’s a beautiful dance between the ephemeral and the strength of a fortress. In a path to revealing the palpitations of a heart. The cracks of light are seen…
