G.S.N.7.1.9 - Painter - JCAT artist

G.S.N.7.1.9 was born in Kyoto in 1975.

She was active as a fashion designer at an apparel company, but after her retirement, she started her full-scale art activities in November 2019.

By recognizing the entry of the earth (material) into the world of the wind (spirit), she expresses the coexistence of nature and animals, the respect for the universe and the earth, the invisible things, the spiritual world and the soul, and human emotions. In addition to this, she also uses the motifs of the sun and the moon, heaven and earth, life and death, blue and red, and other contradictory things, such as man and woman. With this, she creates a unique worldview that is projected on the canvas with acrylic paint, pen, and pastel. She is ambidextrous, but when she draws, she focuses on her left hand.

She says,

“I’ve always liked drawing since I was in kindergarten. My dream at the time was to become a painter. The name G.S.N.7.1.9 is the name of my boyfriend who died at the age of 19. I often communicate with him in my dreams and am fascinated by the unknown world. I was convinced that this experience had some meaning, so I decided to work as an artist to express it. I would like to thank and respect the invisible things and pray for a peaceful world, where I can plant trees. I love nature. I want to directly portray what I always wanted and naturally felt.”

Her paintings are exactly the spiritual world she feels.

Currently, she sells paintings both domestically and internationally and works on many custom arts on social media.
